Killer admits attacks on 5 more women

LIFE TERM John Taylor A FIEND serving life for sexually assaulting and murdering a teen 18 years ago admits sex attacks on five more women.

John Taylor, 62, pleaded guilty to 16 offences between December 1977 and August 1996.

He got his life term for killing schoolgirl Leanne Tiernan, 16, in 2000.

Her mum Sharon Hawkhead, 57, of Bramley, Leeds, said of his latest admissions: “I hope this means he will stay inside for ever.

“It’s just sad that he wasn’t caught before he did what he did to Leanne.”

Taylor, who faced Leeds crown court via videolink from Wakefield Prison, admitted charges including rape and kidnapping. Judge Guy Kearl QC adjourned the case for sentencing on October 26.
