Kiddy-wrinkles show a moving must-see
If you haven’t watched Old People’s Home For 4 Year Olds you must, must, must find it on catch-up.
In the show a bunch of pre-school children spend their days playing, eating and interacting with a group in their 90s and older. It made for some perfect TV moments such as one elderly lady explaining to her young friend that her granddad had died. “Yeh, that happens to old people,” said the little girl flatly.
“It does,” replied her octogenarian playmate with a wry smile.
The joy that each group finds in meeting the other is palpable – and had me sobbing throughout.
The idea of young and old spending time together has been billed by Channel 4 as a “social experiment”.
