Evans! Off to work they go

-

THE cost of diesel has increased for the 14th consecutive week.

A litre is up about 1p to £1.36 on average, according to Government figures.

It is the longest streak of rises in over two years.

The RAC Foundation said millions of business vehicles use diesel, and its cost is “reflected in prices on the high street”.

Petrol went up a fraction to £1.30 after two weeks when rises were halted.

Diesel and petrol prices have soared in recent months to a four-year high. FOR DJ Chris Evans and wife Natasha, 38, it is bring your newborns to work day. They carried month-old twins Walt and Boo to Radio 2, where dad-of-five Chris, 52, hosts the breakfast show – at least for now. He’s off to Virgin next year and will be replaced at the Beeb by Zoe Ball.
