Whole new ball game

THE eSports industry is projected to reach revenue of £700million this year – no wonder the Premier League has joined forces with Electronic Arts (EA) to launch their own eSports competition.

This tournament will allow players to compete on behalf of their clubs on the video game FIFA.

I co-presented the first series of FIFA 18 and, not only was it great fun, it was entertaining and extremely competitive.

This is the fastest-growing spectator sport in the world.

It’s going to be huge – watch this space.

I’VE always been a big fan of Eddie Howe and am thrilled to see Bournemouth sixth in the table after registering their biggest-ever Premier League away win – beating Watford 4-0. They’ve scored more goals than Liverpool so far and, for a team that were only one point off the bottom of the table at this stage last season, it tells us just how far they’ve come.
