Kids in school cuts protest

-

CHILDREN as young as five went to Parliament to highlight the damage cuts are doing to their schools.

A group of pupils told MPs of crumbling buildings, lack of special needs provision and having to rely on parent donations.

Eliana Iketubosin, eight, of Brighton, said pupils “cried their eyes out” when eight teaching assistants lost jobs at her school.

Event organisers Save Our Schools UK said: “A nine-year-old can see the figures don’t add up.”
