Hottestcurry comes with shopwarning
RECORD Flaming Fiery Phaal THE hottest curry ever sold by supermarket chain Morrisons blazed its way on to shelves yesterday.
Flaming Fiery Phaal has a record eight-chilli rating – two more than the store’s Volcanic Vindaloo.
The £2 chicken dish was created with super-strong Scorpion and Naga chillies.
Packets warn shoppers it is “very, very hot”.
Customers’ pleas for “a far hotter curry” sparked a UK-wide hunt by store chefs, who found the megaphaal at Bangladeshi restaurants in Birmingham.
Shopper Paul McCourt, of Runcorn, Cheshire, said: “Morrisons’ vindaloo was not hot enough for me but after tasting this phaal I’ve had to eat my words.”
The dish will only be sold to over-16s. GOING BACK Sheridan
