Take centre stage after years of humiliation

-

Sarah Ferguson will arrive at the same Windsor chapel for Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank, in the bosom of the Royal Firm which has spent the last two decades trying to eject or ignore her.

As mother of the bride, there can be no snubbing or shunning this time. This, she may hope, is a chance for a royal reincarnation following her spectacular fall from grace more than 25 years ago.

A senior royal source said: “Like any mother seeing her daughter getting married, the Duchess of York has excitedly been at the forefront of the planning for Eugenie’s big day.

“However, it has certainly not gone unnoticed how this opportunity has presented itself in timely fashion, given her strained relationship with senior members of the family.

“She was painfully blacklisted from Prince William’s wedding to Kate. And although present at Prince Harry and Meghan’s ceremony in May, she was not invited to the reception.

“So this is her chance to be seen on POLICE community support officers talk to a homeless man as preparations are ramped up for the wedding.

It comes after rough sleepers in Windsor claimed they had been asked to clear out for the minor royal’s nuptials.

The council denies asking them to move on and said it is offering support for rough sleepers and optional storage for their possessions. her own footing, and she is acutely aware this is her moment to be seen as being in the fold once again.

“One can safely presume she won’t be hiding away in the background.” Not since a certain toe-sucking furore in 1992 has Fergie been truly welcomed by

The Firm.

The day the Mirror broke the snaps of her frolicking with Texan billionaire

SOLO At Harry’s wedding Officers & rough sleeper John Bryan, she fled from Balmoral and has never quite found her way back. Her separation and divorce from Prince Andrew followed. But Fergie clung on, even continuing to live with her ex in Windsor, albeit in private apartments.

The pair have taken a central role in planning Eugenie’s nuptials, hosting the receptions at their home and last week reportedly meeting at the Palace to make final tweaks. It’s whispered Eugenie may wear her mum’s wedding York tiara.

Fergie has also used this time for “family time” photo ops. She was recently snapped with Andrew and elder daughter Beatrice on a walk.

It prompted supporters to call for her to get back with her ex, along with the hashtag #royalwedding2019.

Fergie’s future son-in-law apparently described her as “an amazing bringer of light”. Well, some of those rays will certainly fall on her tomorrow.
