THOMAS BJORN said tributes from Bjorn from Abba proved Europe’s Ryder Cup triumph had gone off the scale.

The London-based Dane has been showered with praise since the Paris win over the Americans. And Bjorn said: “There are a couple of people in Hackney that know me now that I don’t think knew me before the Ryder Cup.

“But when Bjorn Ulvaeus said he was watching and was proud, I said: ‘Hmm’. I grew up with him in the ’70s and ’80s and listened to their songs. That was a special moment that I’ll treasure.”
