OUR run on warm weather is clearly still going swimmingly as bathers enjoy a dip in an unheated lido.
The site at Hathersage in the Peak District was open in winter for the first time amid temperatures of 21C.
And in the south-east the mercury nudged 24C – the warmest for seven years. We have a plume of hot air from Africa and continental Europe to thank for the hot weather’s last hurrah.
