NORTHAMPTON FOREST GREEN 2 1 KEITH CURLE hailed his start as new Northampton boss with the Cobblers making it four games unbeaten in a dramatic win.

Andy Williams (below) scored a last-gasp goal to give Curle’s men a first Sixfields win of the season.

That came after Aaron Pierre had cancelled out Reuben Reid’s strike as Forest Green’s unbeaten start went up in smoke.

Curle said: “I’m delighted, especially with the nature of the opposition. They’ve had a very good start to the season and I admire and like the way Mark Cooper organises his teams.

“With the quality we’ve got and the willingness and desire that’s building from players to get into the box and goalscoring positions, it gives you a good stepping stone.” BAILY CARGILL reckons his MK Dons team-mate Chuks Aneke is a nightmare for League Two defenders.

Aneke (right, bottom) took his season’s tally to seven with the winner at Cambridge.

And Cargill (right, top) said: “He’s on fire at moment. I wouldn’t want to play against him.

“He bullies defenders and in front of goal has the composure to beat the keeper.

“If he keeps scoring, we’ll keep winning. He got his head down and worked really hard in recent weeks. He is the reaping the rewards now. He’s pure strength, such a handful. If we’re in trouble, we can hit Chuks and he can keep it.”

MK are up to fourth and three points off the top three, while Cambridge are in the bottom two with no home wins so far this campaign. Boss Joe Dunne knows exactly where the problem lies – in front of goal. The U’s have found the net only 11 times in 13 games and Dunne’s patience is wearing thin.

He said: “It’s hard to continue to stand in front of the press. At some stage they need to go in. “Offensively we did well the second half. “The message to the players is when you’re down the bottom sometimes performances don’t warrant that.

“When you’re down there sometimes it’s really dire performances and the changing room is not correct.

“All those things are not characteristic of us at the moment.

“Another day goes by where we should have got something from the game. The crowd were trying to suck the ball in but it would not go in.”
