That is the verdict of Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris, who insists his France team-mate (above) deserves more respect.

The Manchester United star has been savaged by Old Trafford legend Paul Scholes and other former players.

Boss Jose Mourinho’s relationship with him has also almost reached breaking point. That has led to France keeper Lloris springing to Pogba’s defence as he insisted that ex-players like Scholes judge him unfairly.

Lloris said: “He has a status in the UK, maybe because of his huge transfer fee.

“Sometimes people judge him very unfairly. Now he has more maturity, he knows what he needs to do, he proves that with us.

“I think his performances at United are far from being as bad a people say.

“He is part of a team which has had worse results than we have expected, that’s for sure, but they are still a very strong team. When it matters he is there.” SERGIO RAMOS hit back at claims he stamped on Raheem Sterling by suggesting the England winger faked injury.

Spain’s Real Madrid superstar, regularly accused of dirty tricks, found himself again in the dock after his country’s shock 3-2 defeat in Seville.

But Ramos took to social media yesterday to protest his innocence. He posted footage of Manchester City and England man Sterling going to ground, quickly getting to his knees to try to complain about a challenge, then lying back down clutching his shin.

The video appeared to show Ramos trying to avoid Sterling’s outstretched right leg and his rising right leg. With it came a simple four-word message: “Nada más que decir.” “Nothing more to say.”

The incident was not mentioned in the referee’s report, although some fans were convinced by TV footage that Ramos had stamped on his opponent.

In May’s Champions League final, Liverpool’s Mo Salah suffered a shoulder injury following a tangle with Ramos, while keeper Loris Karius said he was left concussed after a collision with the Real star.
