Triplet, five, died in villa’s pool on hols
TRAGEDY Archie drowned A BOY of five drowned in a villa swimming pool on the first day of a family holiday.
Archie Skidmore – one of triplets – had removed his lifejacket-style buoyancy aid and got in the water unsupervised, the inquest heard.
His parents were on the balcony when they saw him in the pool.
Mum Rachel said: “He was floating face down.”
The mother, a trained first aider, called an ambulance and gave her son CPR but it was in vain.
Archie, of Belbroughton, Worcs, was joined by his two brothers and grandparents on the trip to the Algarve in Portugal in July.
The coroner at the inquest in Worcester concluded the youngster’s death was accidental.
