Pts 33 23 22 18 16 16 15 14 14 12 CELTIC moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership on goal difference – but were upstaged by rivals Rangers.
While Brendan Rodgers’ side were frustrated 0-0 at Livingston, the Gers hammered Motherwell 7-1.
The Hoops appeared to be feeling the effects of Thursday’s Europa League win over RB Leipzig. And they were repeatedly denied by Livingston keeper Liam Kelly.
Rodgers said: “It’s a cup final for Livingston – they put their bodies on the line, gave everything and their keeper made three brilliant saves. It happens.”
Rangers are hot on their heels after they walloped 10-man Motherwell.
Scott Arfield put Steven Gerrard’s side ahead before Curtis Main levelled. But Carl McHugh’s sending off changed the game with James Tavernier converting a penalty.
Alfredo Morelos, Glenn Middleton and Arfield all scored then Eros Grezda (above) hit two more.
