INCIDENT Assault at club THREE doormen were convicted of attacking rugby legend Shane Williams and leaving his brother unconscious.

Dean Flowers, 32, Dave Wing, 53, and Aled James, 26, attacked the star, 41, in Cardiff last December.

At Cardiff crown court Flowers, of Thornhill, and Wing, of Grangetown, were found guilty of affray.

James, of Ferndale, Rhondda, admitted affray.

The three will be sentenced at a later date. Boris Johnson BORIS Johnson’s “vanity” water cannon have been sold for scrap for only £11,000 – at a massive loss to the taxpayer.

The vehicles cost £322,000 to buy despite being illegal to use in the UK.

His London Mayor successor Sadiq Khan said he had sold them to a scrap merchant and the money raised would go to projects tackling youth knife crime.

He said: “For too long, London taxpayers have had to bear the brunt of Boris Johnson’s appalling botched water cannon deal. This has been another waste of taxpayers’ money... Londoners continue to live with his vanity.”

Mr Khan had failed to find a buyer for the crowd-control vehicles despite a long search. The fee recoups a tiny 3.4% of the £322,834 spent on the vehicles since 2014. Theresa May banned their use in riots in 2015 as Home Secretary.

Other projects by Johnson have left taxpayers with huge bills. The garden bridge cost £46million, but work never began. A cable car over the Thames cost taxpayers £24million after the project cost more than the mayor had promised.

His new routemaster buses cost £282.6million, but a further £2million had to be spent on windows after they became too hot inside.

Johnson also been accused of costing Londoners £20million-a-year over his handling of a deal with West Ham United for the former Olympic Stadium.

A source close to Johnson said he had focused on “tackling crime”.
