Injury KO for Nobbs

TOP FOUR WOULD BE A JACKPOT FOR US SAYS POCH

- MISSING OUT BY NEIL McLEMAN

ARSENAL and England midfielder Jordan Nobbs has been ruled out of the women’s 2019 World Cup after having knee surgery.

Nobbs damaged a cruciate ligament during the Gunners’ 4-0 win over Everton last month.

England head coach Phil Neville said “We are all wishing Jordan a speedy recovery and will be supporting her every step of the way throughout her rehabilitation process.

“She is an invaluable member of the Lionesses squad and played a huge part in helping us secure our place at next summer’s Women’s World Cup finals in France.” MAURICIO POCHETTINO says a top-four finish this season will be “more than success” for Spurs.

Although he did not sign a single player in the summer, his Spurs side are eight points better off after 15 games than they were last season.

Yet the North London club face Champions League elimination at Barcelona on Tuesday and already trail Premier League leaders Manchester City by eight points.

Until the new £850million White Hart Lane is completed, Tottenham cannot spend to compete with the top sides.

But Pochettino (right) insists he is going nowhere. “The most important thing is I feel so happy here,” he said. “Tottenham has given me value.

“Many clubs say to be in the top four is a massive success. And for us to be in the top four is more than success.”

Spurs full-back Danny Rose has moaned about playing home games at the national stadium but Pochettino said: “If you ask me, I’m so happy to play at Wembley. It’s an honour and a pleasure. When I played at Wembley it was a dream come true. Every game at Wembley is a gift. It is the best place in the world to play football.”
