Start-up locking good
Dear Biz
I started LockFit around seven months ago after taking a course in locksmithing. It’s going really well and the phone is buzzing constantly as I work for individuals and some big firms.
We offer a 24/7 emergency service, help people who get locked out, and repair, change and upgrade locks.
My business caught the eye of Eddy Ankrett, a well-respected entrepreneur from the West Midlands and he is helping me to make it grow. He has a wealth of experience in franchising and we both now want to grow LockFit to offer the service nationwide.
We’ve set up lockfit.co.uk to give lots of background information to prospective franchisees.
I just need a bit of advice on spreading the word about this new opportunity.

Great news that you have done so well in such a short space of time – and a smart move to get an experienced mentor on board. You need to start shouting about the franchising opportunity and how brilliant it is for others.
Lots of people will be looking for a new career route or business opportunity in the New Year. The Christmas break tends to make people restless.
Make sure you use social media to create a stir and signpost people to your website.
Find out where other franchises advertise their business and consider using that too.
And get in touch with the training place you used and ask them to highlight your franchise opportunity to those currently learning the trade.
