HENRY IS GUNNING FOR A FAB REUNION

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

NORWICH striker Steven Naismith will make his loan move to Hearts permanent at the end of the season.

He is out of contract next summer and has hinted he could stay at Tynecastle if he can agree a deal.

The former Everton striker said: “I’d be raging if the manager (Craig Levein) didn’t want me to stay.

“He thinks I can do a lot at Hearts and the club would do what they can to get me to stay on.

“It’s pleasing to hear that, really good. I’ve loved every minute of it.

“The routine is perfect for me and it works.

“I’m open to anything at this moment in time. I just need to know I’m making the right choice and not look back in 10 years’ time, wishing that I had done something or not.” THIERRY HENRY wants to take Cesc Fabregas to Monaco in January.

The Chelsea midfielder is unhappy with his lack of game time at Stamford Bridge and is a long-term target of

AC Milan.

Monaco, who are 19th in Ligue 1, are desperate for midfield reinforcements after selling Fabinho, Joao Moutinho, Thomas Lemar and Tiemoue Bakayoko over the last two summers. Fabregas, 31, has started only one Premier League game for Chelsea this season and has only six months left on his current contract. He was a team-mate of Monaco boss Henry (above) at Arsenal between 2004 and 2007, and he worked with the Monte Carlo club’s sporting director Michael Emenalo at Chelsea.

He is also seeking defensive reinforcements, but Blues star Gary Cahill, who is also out of contract in the summer, turned down an informal approach.

Henry has won three out of 13 matches since taking his first managerial job. Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev said: “We must get out of the drop zone and the transfer market will play a role.”
