CRYSTAL PALACE want to sign Dominic Solanke in the January window – and have opened the door for Wilfried Zaha to leave in the summer.

Former Chelsea striker Solanke, 21, has yet to play for Liverpool this season and also interests Stevie Gerrard’s Rangers.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson said: “First of all, we’ve got to try and make sure we do get Dominic here on loan.

“It’s no secret he’s a target. What would he do? Provide an attacking threat. He’s a proven goalscorer through all the age groups at Chelsea and England.

“If he comes here, it will be up to him to show he can do that Premier League football.

“He’s someone with the profile we’re looking for, and the ability we are looking for.” Chairman Steve Parish insisted Zaha (left) will not be leaving just yet after a link with a move to the Chinese Super League. The Ivory Coast winger signed a new five-year deal earlier this year worth £130,000 a week. Parish said: “Of course people want to do well in their career over time. We have to look at the right circumstances for Wilf, the right circumstances for the club. Right now, I know he is 1,000 per cent committed to Crystal Palace Football Club.” in MANCHESTER CITY are tracking Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo – but will have to beat Real Madrid to get him.
