winning every game we play and we take that attitude into every game, we are recovering well and are playing well, more importantly.

“Of course when teams slip up it is nice when we take advantage of that and we managed to do it when City dropped six points and Tottenham dropped three.

“But who’s to say during the season that they’re not in position if we drop points as we know how long this season is and we know it’s going to be very hard to go through it unbeaten.

“It’s up to us to give 100 per cent JAMES MILNER is ready to give Liverpool a title boost. Kop boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Milner is hoping to be fit for the top-ofthe-table clash with Manchester City on Thursday. Milner, 32, sat out Liverpool’s win over Arsenal on Saturday with a hamstring injury – the second consecutive match he has missed.

Robertson said: “You need to ask other teams about that. We spoke about City last season and I’m sure every other team did. They were very hard to beat. We did it here in the league and the Champions League but in the league, not many people could touch them.

“But the thing is, they completed it and have their winners’ medal and the trophy.

“Just now, we have nothing.” Etihad, where Liverpool lost 5-0 in the Premier League last term.

It would be a major lift for the Reds because Milner has emerged as a key player this season. Klopp has taken no chances with the veteran (left) to give him every chance of facing champions City.
