ASSAULT Graham Page A MAN who saved his wife from taking her own life was charged with assault for his heavyhanded rescue attempt.

Graham Page, 46, read wife Alexandra’s suicide note and found her drunk and “hysterical” in her car.

He admitted to Bristol magistrates court the rescue got “way out of hand” when he pulled her out the car and “cuffed” her head to calm her down.

He was reported to police by a witness who also spotted him dragging his wife along by her clothes to get her home.

Page, of Redland, Bristol, pleaded guilty to the December 14 assault.

He was ordered to do 100 hours’ unpaid work and charged £170 in costs.

Page said afterwards: “It was a difficult situation.” At work with her clippers WHEN you trot out with a haircut like this, you know you’re going to be the mane attraction.

The intricate pattern was crafted by Melody Hames, who is known as the Horse Barber.

The 32-year-old, from Bury, Gtr Manchester, set up the brand five years ago and now travels the world turning horses’ coats into works of art. Some of her designs take 10 hours and themes have included the First World War and Game of Thrones. Melody said: “I started clipping when I was nine and it has become my full-time job. The creative clips obviously take more time. People’s reaction’s are amazing when they see the finished piece.

“I have to tailor the design to each horse as each is different.”
