HAMZA SON QUIZZED ON SEX PARTY MURDER

Jailed preacher’s boy, 26, is suspect in New Year’s Eve bouncer killing

THE son of jailed hook-handed preacher Abu Hamza has been arrested over the murder of a doorman outside an exclusive New Year’s Eve sex party.

Imran Mostafa Kamel, 26, remains a suspect in the stabbing of bouncer Tudor Simionov, 33. And he was yesterday charged with separate firearms offences.

HOOK-HANDED preacher Abu Hamza’s son has been charged with firearms offences by police probing the murder of a bouncer at a New Year’s Eve sex party.

Imran Mostafa Kamel, whose father was extradited to the US on terror charges in 2012, was arrested and questioned after Tudor Simionov, 33, was stabbed in the chest at around 5.30am on Tuesday.

The Romanian died as he fought to protect wealthy guests when a group tried to gatecrash what is claimed to have been a VIP sex party in an exclusive flat.

Mr Simionov, who came to the UK with girlfriend Madalina Anghel “for a better life” just two months ago, was reported to have fended off nine people before he was knifed.

Two of Mr Simionov’s colleagues, aged 29 and 37, were also stabbed during the fight, along with a woman of 29. Their injuries from the clash outside Fountain House, in the posh Park Lane area of Central London, were not life-threatening.

Kamel, 26, from Ealing, West London, was bailed but is understood to remain a suspect in the murder investigation.

But he has separately been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or danger and possession of a firearm when prohibited for life, in an event just a few minutes later.

The offences are not directly connected with Mr Simionov’s death or the injuries caused to the other people in the attack outside Fountain House.

Scotland Yard said the charges relate to an incident at around 5.36am, in which no shots were fired.

Kamel faced Westminster magistrates yesterday and spoke only to confirm his name and address during the brief hearing.

Matthew Barraclough, prosecuting, told District Judge Michael Snow the case was too serious to be heard in the lower courts and must be moved to the Old Bailey.

Kamel was remanded in custody at Wandsworth Prison and is due back in court on January 31.

His Egyptian father Hamza, 60, was the imam of Finsbury Park Mosque, North London, which achieved notoriety after he used it to preach Islamic fundamentalism and was found guilty of inciting violence in 2006.

He was convicted of terror offences in the US in 2014 and is serving life with no possibility of parole at a supermax prison in Colorado – where he has complained of being held in “inhuman and degrading” conditions.

Meanwhile, Mr Simionov’s heartbroken girlfriend Madalina has said she will be taking his body home to Romania for burial.

She told friends on Facebook: “The loss is impossible.

“It is hard for me to find the right words – his unexpected death has shocked us all.”
