THREAT Mohammed Abdul A CLUBBER who ploughed his 4x4 car onto a packed dancefloor was found guilty of attempted murder yesterday.

Mohammed Abdul, 21, who had been ejected for being drunk, told bouncers: “I’m going to come back and shut this place down and kill you guys.”

Abdul, who claimed to have smoked five cannabis joints and drunk up to 15 vodka mixers, Revellers run for their lives plus tequila, returned within 10 minutes in his Suzuki Vitara, saying: “I told you I’d be back.”

The provisional licence holder manoeuvred the car into a alleyway at the side of Blake’s nightclub in Gravesend, Kent.

He smashed through gates and accelerated into a marquee area.

Clubbers who were waiting to see grime rap artist Giggs were sent sprawling “like dominoes”, Maidstone crown court was

told. Eight people were hurt, two seriously, by the Vitara or in the panic as 500 people partied.

Cameraman Pierre Jermaine Joseph, 32, fractured a shinbone and knee, and Katie Wells, 19, fractured her pelvis. Tyre marks were left on her thighs.

Abdul, of Deptford, South East London, was stopped when clubbers smashed his windows with tables and dragged him out by his hair. He had denied attempted murder but admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving on March 17 last year.

High Court Judge Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb is expected to pass sentence today.

Simon Taylor, prosecuting, told the jury there was “an obvious intention” to kill. He said: “Why else deliberately drive at speed into defenceless people?”
