Olivia film is nominated for 12 gongs
HIT movie The Favourite leads the Bafta nominations as it goes up for 12 gongs, including Best Film.
Star Olivia Colman, 44, is the main contender in the leading actress category for her role as Queen Anne, days after winning a Golden Globe.
Her co-stars in the dark comedy drama, Rachel Weisz,
48, and Emma Stone, 30, are up for best supporting actress, and Yorgos Lanthimos for director.
Weisz, who plays Lady Sarah Churchill, Queen Anne’s closest friend, said: “Bafta, thank you for recognising The Favourite in such a huge way.” Lanthimos, 45, said the movie, also up for outstanding British film, had been “many, many years in the making”. He said: “The entire filmmaking team are incredibly proud to have received this profound recognition today.” Bohemian Rhapsody, First Man, Roma and A Star Is Born each have seven nominations, while Vice has six and BlacKkKlansman has five. The Bafta ceremony is at the Royal Albert Hall on February 10. The former footballer turned pundit – who split from wife Louise in 2017 – chatted to Dutch model Sylvie Meis who was with boyfriend Bart Willemsen by the pool in Florida.
No doubt Jamie was merely admiring her glorious tan as he chilled with his sons Charley, 14, and ten-year-old Beau on holiday.
