CHEAT BORIS & LOVER IN GREEK HIDEAWAY

Cad cosies up to young girlfriend at villa where he took family months earlier

LOVE cheat Boris Johnson left the Brexit shambles behind to spend New Year in a Greek villa with his girlfriend.

The MP, 54, was seen eating out with Carrie Symonds, 30, at a restaurant near the bolthole he took his kids to last summer.

An expat Brit said: “He was dishevelled. She was smartly dressed and quite sweet.”

BORIS Johnson wined and dined the ex-Tory spin chief caught up in his divorce during a romantic New Year break at a Greek hideaway.

The ex-Foreign Secretary was spotted enjoying the cosy meal with lover Carrie Symonds by locals in South Pelion, north of Athens on the east coast.

They were staying at his father Stanley’s holiday home, Villa Irene, where Johnson took his four children – without wife Marina – last summer.

Johnson was said to have grown close to the former Tory Party director of communications as his 25-year marriage to long-suffering Marina, 54, crumbled.

British expats watched as the pair tucked in during a fireside dinner at a taverna in the snow-hit mountains.

Former Metropolitan Police inspector Chris Wicks, 62, was with wife Kathryn, 57, and some pals when they “saw a blond bloke in the corner” of the Aphrodite restaurant in Lafkos.

They quickly realised it was the ex-Cabinet Minister. Pro-EU remainer Mr Wicks – who spent 30 years in the Met and was on the River Thames policing unit – told the Mirror: “He had his lady friend with him. He’s such a weird character.

“He was very dishevelled, unshaven, very tatty clothes. His companion was rather smartly dressed and quite sweet.”

The pair were tucking into a meal of pork cooked in red wine, along with broccoli and tzatziki, washed down with red wine from a jug, witnesses said.

But Johnson responded to Mr Wicks, who confronted the arch-Brexiteer.

He said: “We’re massively strong Remainers. I see everything Brexitrelated as a tragedy.

“I’ve often thought I’d give Boris a piece of my mind.”

Mr Wicks introduced himself and shook hands with Johnson, wishing him Happy New Year at the January 3 encounter.

But Johnson was bullish about EU withdrawal, insisting: “It’s going to be all right, you know.”

Mr Wicks spelled out his dislike of Johnson revealing that, when hunters killed a boar near his olive grove last year, he called it “Boris the Boar” before burying its “rotting, stinking” corpse.

Miss Symonds, a passionate campaigner on green issues, currently works for Bloomberg.

Her closeness to Johnson emerged in

September when it was reported they had been seen together on dinner dates.

Johnson has faced repeated claims he cheated on Marina. He was sacked from the Tory frontbench in 2004 after lying to then Conservative leader Michael Howard about a four-year affair with journalist Petronella Wyatt.

In 2013 it emerged he had fathered a child through an extramarital affair with the art consultant Helen Macintyre.

On both occasions Marina, his second wife, kicked Boris out before backing down and allowing him back.

He was also alleged to have had an affair with the journalist Anna Fazackerley. There have been several other allegations of extra-marital affairs. He and Marina’s plan to divorce was announced last year.

Johnson posted no Twitter, updates between December 31 and January 6 on his trip. He was back in Parliament this week after the New Year getaway.

Speaking in Dublin yesterday he claimed “project fear” is being used to keep the UK in the Customs Union and “make a nonsense” of Brexit.

Johnson and Miss Symonds declined to comment on the Mirror’s story.
