Sex scandal ex-MP ‘comfortable with being gay’
DONALD Trump has blasted “insulting” allegations that he worked as a secret agent for Russia.
The US President lashed out after an article claimed the FBI probed the possibility after he took office.
Asked if he had worked for Russia, he told Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro: “It’s the most insulting thing I’ve been asked.
“I think it’s the most insulting article I’ve ever had written. The New York Times is a disaster.”
The FBI reportedly opened the investigation in May 2017, after he fired FBI director James Comey.
Trump said Mr Comey was axed over criticism of his handling of a Hillary Clinton email probe. He later admitted he made the decision to sack him alone. Mr Oaten said: “I’m gay now and I’m comfortable with being gay and I’m clear about my sexuality.”
The former politician, who now lives with his male partner, told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Emma Barnett that the working environment at Westminster, which he claims drove him to seek out sex workers, was “a horrid culture that’s still the same”.
He added: “You are in this kind of bubble where you are able to get away with anything.
“I would describe it as a seedy, bullying men’s club.”
