BRUCIE EYES BONUS WITH RHODES NOW
NORWICH could be in danger of losing goal-scoring super sub Jordan Rhodes back to Sheffield Wednesday.
New Owls boss Steve Bruce is a Rhodes fan and tried to buy him last season at Aston Villa.
Rhodes (above) went to Hillsborough instead for a club record £10million from Middlesbrough and is out on loan.
Bruce, managing Wednesday from long distance while he finishes a pre-planned family holiday in the Caribbean, would be keen to finally link-up with Rhodes.
The 28-year-old hitman has found his scoring boots again after a lean time with Wednesday.
He had only been off the bench two minutes and scored Norwich’s equaliser with his first touch.
Asked about a move back to Sheffield, Rhodes said: “I’m not sure, you’d have to ask the powers that be.
“But from my point of view the idea was that I would be at Norwich for the season and I could get the family down, get settled and chuck myself into life in Norfolk.
“I have done that and I’m loving every minute.”
For the eighth time this season, Norwich came back from the dead in the last 10 minutes.
West Brom, ahead in 12 minutes through Dwight Gayle and kept on top by Gareth Barry in midfield, ought to have had the game won as Norwich’s young team creaked.
Rhodes added: “With a fullhouse crowd right behind West Brom and 1-0 up, we could easily have buckled under that pressure. But we stood up and got a point.
“It could be a special few months ahead.”
