Trump’s a danger

■ Once again the unbalanced President of the USA, Donald Trump, has made the world a more dangerous place by halting the US/Russia nuclear weapons treaty.

He has played neatly into his pal Vladimir Putin’s hands by giving him just the excuse he needs to manufacture more nuclear weapons openly instead of secretly.

When are the Americans going to wake up to Trump’s destruction of their country and realise he is making them the laughing stock of the world? If they weren’t so serious, his actions would be hilarious.

■ Brian Reade was uncharacteristically kind to ‘the Clarkson trio’ in Saturday’s Mirror.

They’re nothing more than three middle-aged men behaving like kids in a toy shop. And as far as their scruffy leader is concerned, the BBC did the right thing in getting rid of him. Their childish behaviour sets a very poor example to younger viewers who might be tempted to emulate their antics, possibly with dire consequences.

Not everyone is a royalist and other countries’ anthems aren’t just about one person. What is this country afraid of?
