TWO soldiers who served in the Queen’s elite Grenadier Guards have admitted robbing newsagents and off licences at gunpoint.

Dillon Sharpe, 22, and Elnur Bracegirdle, 20, targeted businesses in South London, Kingston crown court heard.

Sharpe, from Tulse Hill, wielded fake firearms and a stun-gun “disguised as a torch”. Bracegirdle, from Preston, Lancs, had a knife.

The pair were remanded in custody and will face trial on further counts. THIS cat definitely used one of her nine lives when she survived being frozen in 16 inches of snow during the polar vortex.

Fluffy was unconscious and her coat matted with ice when her owners finally tracked her down as the local temperature hit minus 13C.

Vet Jevon Clark said that when Fluffy was brought to the Animal Clinic of Kalispell, in Montana, USA, her body temperature was so low it didn’t register on a thermometer.

After about two hours of trying to thaw her out with warm water and blankets, the poor puss’ temperature had barely changed, so the desperate vets tried using a hairdryer to speed things up.

AMAZING

After several more hours, Fluffy finally began to stir... before going on to make a full recovery.

In an online post, the clinic said: “Amazing success and survival story. Some clients found their injured cat buried in snow.

“They brought her to us essentially frozen and unresponsive. Her temperature was very low.

“But after many hours she recovered and is now completely normal. “Fluffy is amazing.” The puss is now back home but is being kept indoors until winter is over. Tell us what you think: yourvoice@mirror.co.uk
