Visa change blow to NHS
EMPLOYERS including the NHS will suffer a £1billion blow in the Government’s post-Brexit immigration shake-up, a report warns.
A salary threshold of £30,000 for skilled workers would “leave over 100,000 unfilled jobs in social care and nursing”, think-tank Global Future says.
It added sponsored visas would “create a £1billion bureaucratic headache for employers, including the NHS – siphoning millions of pounds in visa fees out of cash-strapped hospitals and into the Home Office”.
