Switch off Tory ploy

Isolating the elderly or forcing them to pay £154.50 a year for something that was free for years would be completely unacceptable.

We shudder at the prospect of the BBC and Government dragging through the courts those pensioners who are unable to pay.

The BBC should be telling May to go after wealthy tax-dodgers and huge companies refusing to pay fair, instead of picking on senior citizens whose best friend is sometimes the television.
