WAITING 999 crews in Lydd AN Israeli nuclear spy has been smuggled from Iran after crossing the Channel in a dinghy with refugees.
The mission was hatched by MI6, the CIA and Mossad, who feared the 47-year-old was about to be discovered in Tehran.
He was brought 3,000 miles across Europe and put in a dinghy bound for Dover, but it ended up 30 miles away in Lydd, where police held the migrants.
UK agents collected him and he was taken to a safe house for questioning by UK and US agents, before being flown to America.
He is said to have helped assassinate a nuclear scientist in Tehran in 2012.
A source said: “This was challenging. Infiltrating him into a group of fellow migrants preparing to cross the Channel by boat offered one solution.”
