Man faces voyeurism charge

SUPPORT Mum Lisa hugs officer THE parents of student Libby Squire prayed at a church vigil marking the 10th day since she vanished.

Lisa, 48, and Russell, 53, have travelled from their home in High Wycombe, Bucks, to Hull to await news from the search.

Lisa was snapped hugging a policewoma­n guarding the church door to make sure the service remained private.

Last night Polish butcher Pawel Relowicz, 24, arrested in relation to the investigat­ion, was charged with voyeurism, outraging public decency and three counts of burglary.

He has been remanded in custody and is to appear today at Hull magistrate­s court. Det Supt Matt Hutchinson said: “Our priority remains to find Libby and support her family.”

Normal Sunday services at the church were cancelled for RIDDLE Missing Libby and Relowicz the vigil and the couple sat in the front pew as hymns were sung and poems about missing people and grieving were read. When the service ended, members of the congregati­on hugged the couple and wrote messages of support for them.

One worshipper said: “It was very moving. The poems were about grieving and missing people. Anyone who wanted to wrote a message to the family.”

One woman said: “It was so emotional. Everyone expected

Libby’s family to break down. But they kept their dignity. Although the mood was sombre, there were jovial moments. We want to think there is still hope.”

After the vigil, most of the congregati­on remained to offer more comfort. Lisa and Russell left later with specialist officers who are supporting them.

Nearby, police used infrared cameras to search the area near the house Libby, 21, was living in while she studied philosophy at the city’s university.

Less than a mile away, the Oak Road Playing Fields were also being scoured.
