If you’ve been watching The Voice, you won’t have failed to notice the coaches wearing the same outfits for a solid six-week period.

Certainly, enough people got in touch with the show for one representative to brand the costume drama – which is for continuity during filming – a “difficult, emotional and potentially confusing time” on the ITV show’s official Twitter page.

“We are looking forward to consciously uncoupling with these outfits, and revealing new looks at the Battles [rounds],” continued the weary announcement, in a nod to Gwyneth Paltrow’s 2014 announcement of an amicable split from Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin.

“Thank you all for your continued support and concern,” they went on. “P.S. Please stop tweeting us about the outfits. WE KNOW!”
