The impossible teenage dream

Well done to comedian Russell Howard for speaking out about the dreadful influence programmes such as Love Island are having on our young people (Mirror, Feb 7).

Is it any wonder our teenagers, especially girls, are obsessed with how they look when they are trying to live up to such impossible ideals? The message is that to be lovable you have to look perfect. Shocking! When are TV companies going to take responsibility? Vicky Graham, Reading, Berks
