Boy, 17 gets 19 years for park murder
VICTIM Viktorija Sokolova A BOY of 17 will serve at least 19 years behind bars for the rape and murder of a teenage girl.
The youth used horrific violence on Viktorija Sokolova, 14, before dumping her body on a park bench.
He denied the charges at Wolverhampton crown court but was convicted in December .
Yesterday the youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to life with a minimum 19 years.
Jurors heard Lithuanianborn Viktorija was lured to West Park, Wolverhampton, late on April 11 last year after being contacted by her killer on Facebook Messenger.
Police believe the boy used a hammer in a “ferocious” attack on the victim, who suffered a fractured skull and spine.
