Mum died in ‘danger’ butt lift surgery

TRAGIC Leah Cambridge A MUM died after having a Brazilian butt lift which has the “highest death rate of any cosmetic surgery”, a pre-inquest review heard.

Leah Cambridge, 29, flew to Turkey to have the operation last August.

But the beautician, a mum of three, from Leeds had three heart attacks.

Elite Aftercare charged £5,000 for the surgery which takes fat from the waist and injects it into the buttocks.

The Wakefield hearing was told one in 3,000 such procedures result in death.

Richard Paige, for the family, quoted a report from the British Associatio­n of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons which warned it “has the highest death rate of all cosmetic surgery procedures”. A full inquest will take place in July.
