STORM LOOKS A FORCE
EVERY drop of rain that’s fallen over Cheltenham has been heaven sent for BREWIN’UPASTORM and Olly Murphy.
His meeting got off to a good start when he sent out the second and third in the opener, but Murphy thinks this one is his stable star.
Brewin’upastorm was beaten in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury in December, but that race was run at a crawl and certainly didn’t suit his stamina-laden style — a problem he won’t encounter today.
A final-flight fall here subsequently cost him a win but Murphy proved yesterday his yard is in banging form and this horse won’t be disgraced.
TOP VILLE BEN ran better than his finishing position suggests behind Mister Malarky at Ascot last month and could surprise today as he should improve running over a left-handed track.
TULLY EAST has never run a bad race at Cheltenham, boasting a win and a fourth from two runs at the Festival itself.
All his best form has been at two-and-a-half miles yet it was over the minimum trip that he caught the eye at Leopardstown last month.
In possibly the strongest handicap hurdle run all season, he made a promising move turning for home before being continually blocked.
He can make amends today. TODAY’S SELECTIONS
