Ice work James but you’re a pro!

-

■ I really enjoyed this year’s Dancing On Ice on ITV. Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were as brilliant as ever hosting the show, and I love Jason Gardiner, Ashley Banjo and the legendary Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean on the judging panel as they give constructive criticism to the celebs taking part.

Sunday night’s final was a pleasure to watch and James Jordan thoroughly deserved to win it as he was just as good as the professional skaters. Well done ITV on another fantastic series of Dancing on Ice! Sean Hood, Hayle, Cornwall

■ I was so disappointed with James Jordan winning Dancing on Ice. Yes, he was very good but he is a professional dancer, performer and a choreographer which gave him a huge advantage over his fellow finalists Wes Nelson and Saara Aalto.

What is the point in these talent shows if the professionals win? Would it be fair if Adele auditioned for X Factor? Wes was definitely the winner in my eyes – he was an absolute beginner and did so well. Wes, you were robbed!

■ Congratulations to James Jordan and Alex Schauman who wowed the viewers with their varied performances in Dancing on Ice, especially as James was injured before the final.

It was a close finish that went right to the wire. I also really enjoyed the Bridge Over Troubled Water routine by Jayne and Chris. Well done to the whole team for a great series – now I can’t wait for the DVD.

■ Congratulations to James Jordan and his ice partner Alexandra Schauman on being crowned Dancing on Ice champions 2019. James has gone from a Strictly pro to a complete beginner on the ice and I think he did very well.

He can still be a little arrogant, such as when he shut Holly Willoughby down when she was showing concern about his shoulder, but he’s talented and he worked for his win, so fair play.

Well done to all involved.

■ I thoroughly enjoyed this series of Dancing on Ice, apart from the histrionics of the awful Gemma Collins, of course. But I do feel that Wes Nelson should have come first. As a professional dancer, James had an unfair advantage over the other contestants, while Wes was a complete novice at the beginning.

I was rooting for him from the start, but it wasn’t to be. Never mind, Wes, you’re a winner in my eyes! Emma Hardy, Barnsley, South Yorks

■ Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year’s Dancing on Ice. It was another world series of jumps, spins and lifts galore, and it was capped by the wonderful Bolero performance in the grand final. I can’t wait for next year’s series to begin.

■ It’s a pity a few of the screamers in the audience were allowed to spoil what is essentially a good show.

I had to turn up the volume for the scores and remarks, then down for the screamers, meaning I couldn’t just relax and enjoy it.
