It’s Ole all the way says Matic

- CONFIDENT BY JAMES NURSEY

NEMANJA MATIC insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a “great manager” and predicts he will quickly end Manchester United’s dip.

United were dumped out of the FA Cup by Wolves six days after a 2-0 Premier League defeat at Arsenal.

But Matic, 30, remains confident Solskjaer’s revival can still secure them a top-four finish as they prepare to host Watford on Saturday.

The Serbia midfielder said: “I am sure he will turn this situation around and we will do better.

“We will analyse this game to see where we made mistakes and see what we can do better.

“We spoke after Wolves and said we have to be focused for the next one and stick together and get the top four, which is the main target for us.

“We have lost the last two away to Arsenal and Wolves. I am not making an excuse but we have lost to two good sides.”

United still have an impressive record of 14 wins from 19 games under interim boss Solskjaer (above).

Matic added: “I want Ole to stay. He is a great manager, very positive and the club will decide.

“Right now, we have to be more clinical in the last third. We have to give our best now to reach the top four. We cannot let it go like this – and we are not happy with the Wolves game.

“There is a lot to play for. We have eight games to play in the Premier League and we are fighting for the top four. And we have the Champions League as well.”
