Sancho, 18, who tomorrow night could make his first competitive start for England, has been a sensation at Dortmund this season. United are watching developments and are ready to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the transfer market.

Hudson-Odoi, 18, is also in the squad for the Euro qualifier with the Czech Republic and has so far refused to sign a new deal with Chelsea.

His contract runs out in 2020. RB Leipzig are also interested in the forward, who was the target of a rejected £40m bid from Bayern in January.

Chelsea also resisted a transfer request from Hudson-Odoi, who is yet to start a Premier League game. But with a transfer ban looming, they could lose him for a fraction of his market value in 18 months’ time.

There could also be Premier League interest, but Dortmund can promise regular first-team football.

Sancho cost £9m from Manchester City in 2017 and Hudson-Odoi has seen how his friend has progressed with the Bundesliga club. MO SALAH has been told by Jurgen Klopp to learn from Sadio Mane to end his Liverpool goal drought.

Salah is enduring his longest barren run since joining the Reds, with the striker not scoring in his last seven games.

By contrast, Mane has 11 goals in his last 11 matches, and boss Klopp said: “Sadio always plays like this, but now he’s always in the right spot in the right moment.

“The only thing he did when he was not always in the right spot was work and work and work.

“That’s exactly what Mo has to do, exactly the same, and it will come again.”
