A SHAMELESS mum snapped a celebratory selfie outside court, minutes after she avoided prison over a nightclub bottle attack.

Cherelle Brown, 27, then uploaded the picture to her social media page with the caption: “Feeling the luckiest little bitch ever right now.”

Earlier Brown had begged a judge not to lock her up, claiming she was “regretful and remorseful” for throwing a lager bottle in Samuel Litherland’s face in a drunken rage.

The single mum-of three, who pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding, said going to prison would be “disruptive” for her son and two daughters, aged four and 18 months.

But after being given an 18-month jail term, suspended for two years, she shared the picture online.

She gloated: “One door closes and another opens. Feeling the luckiest little bitch ever right now. Once again the kids saved me from myself.”

Mr Litherland suffered a cut to his left eyelid and was covered in blood after the attack in Blackburn, Lancs. Luckily, the builder was not blinded.

It is thought there was hostility between the pair over a relationship Brown workmates. Brown had has with Preston a one string crown of Mr of Litherland’s court previous heard convictions for theft and assault.

Prosecutor Peter Barr said CCTV footage of the attack clearly showed “the defendant had two bottles in her hand” when the confrontation started.

He added: “One of the bottles is raised by the defendant and she flicks the contents over Samuel Litherland.

“The defendant then punches Mr Litherland with her right hand whilst holding the bottle in her left.

“Door supervisors begin to usher Miss Brown away but, as she passes Mr Litherland, she lobs the bottle towards him. [It] hits him in the face, causing the injury to his eye.”

Sentencing, Judge Andrew Woolman told Brown: “You and the victim had a long-standing negative relationship for reasons that do not matter.

“This was a very reckless thing to do and could have been so much worse.”

Brown, of Blackburn, was also ordered to obey a 10pm-6am curfew for a period of 12 weeks and complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
