RESTING STARS A NO-NO FOR NUNO

- BY DAVE ARMITAGE

Cup semi-final action at the weekend, Solskjaer knows United will have to be at their best to win tonight.

“Wolves are a team who enjoy playing against big sides, which their results against all the big sides have shown,” said Solskjaer.

“We can’t be seen to be going down with no fight, but that wasn’t the problem against Wolves last time. We just couldn’t find the quality.”

Solskjaer said he welcomed United’s decision to appoint a technical director this summer to work with him.

“Football has changed and the structure at football clubs has changed,” he added. “We’re looking at how this club can be ran as smoothly and as well as possible, so we’ll see what the club will end up with.” FROM BACK PAGE

Bernabeu, fuelling suggestions Real are preparing a summer bid for the £89million midfielder.

But Solskjaer moved to end any notion that Pogba could be on his way this summer by revealing he has told the 26-year-old he wants to build his United team around him.

“I’ve chatted with Paul and we’re fine,” said Solskjaer. “He’ll do his utmost here because he knows I’m very fond of him as a player and person. He’s important here.” Addressing Pogba’s comment that it would be a “dream” to play for Zidane, Solskjaer said: “This is a challenge with international breaks. It’s a different environment, more of a general talk. Paul is a very polite man who then answered a general question.

“Zidane is an icon in France, and Paul has answered that question politely. But he’s happy here. I’ve always said you would like to build your team round him.” WOLVES boss Nuno Espirito Santo has warned his star players he will not be resting them to avoid injury despite an FA Cup semi-final being just five days away.

He will put out the best side possible for tonight’s visit of Manchester United – who Wolves beat (above) to set up their last-four clash with Watford on Sunday.

It is the first time in 21 years that they have reached this stage of the competition, but

Nuno (below) said: “Full strength – always. I don’t juggle. My selection of the team is based only on the game against United.

“If you make your decisions afraid of risk then you would never make them. “It’s a new game from when we beat them.

“There are things we try to repeat because they were good, but there will be things we will try to correct.”

Wolves have done well against the top six this season but have struggled against struggling teams, Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Burnley (left) evidence of that.

Nuno (below) added: “Football is so unpredictable, you try to surprise your opponents – like Burnley did on Saturday with that early goal.

“They were smarter than us and that’s the unpredictability of it all.”

He is refusing to even discuss the Watford semi-final until the United game is out of the way.

He added: “They’re a fantastic team. It was a special night last time, but this is a new challenge.”
