ENGLAND goalie Jordan Pickford was allegedly involved in a bust-up outside a bar on Sunday.

Mobile phone footage posted on Twitter appeared to show the Everton player in the melee as punches were thrown.

Wearing a white top, blue jeans and trainers, Pickford, 25, was later seen to be led away by three men and a woman.

One man can be heard shouting: “Go on Jordan, get stuck in, lad.” Another voice says: “Jordan, come away.” The brawl, is thought to have involved around six people outside P’s and Q’s Bar in Sunderland, on Sunday. It appeared to last for just a few seconds.

It has been claimed the World Cup star was goaded by other drinkers and at one point a man was heard shouting “butter fingers” as he posed for a photo.

A source said: “No one wants to see that kind of thing but it wasn’t as bad as it may have looked. It was over in 10 seconds.

“He was trying to have a drink and enjoy the [Sunderland cup final] match.”

Other footage posted on social media, apparently taken before the incident, appeared to show Pickford happily posing for a photo with a fan in a bar.

Pickford helped Everton to a 2-0 victory over West Ham in London on Saturday. He is understood to have travelled to his native North East to watch his former club Sunderland on TV. They lost Sunday’s Checkatrade Trophy final to Portsmouth.

A statement released by Everton last night said: “The club has been made aware of an alleged incident involving one of our players and we are looking into the matter.”

Pickford, who has won 17 caps for his country, became the priciest British keeper in history when he joined the Toffees in a deal worth £30million in 2017.
