DONALD Trump will not stay with the Queen at Buckingham Palace during his controversial state visit.
Royal sources claim there is no room for the US president and wife Melania because of “a massive renovation”.
One said: “It’s just not possible to accommodate President Trump, the First Lady and all his entourage.”
And last night there was growing fury that Theresa May is rolling out the red carpet for such a divisive figure.
Labour’s Stephen Doughty said: “This man is a racist, sexist extremist happy to promote far-right content.”
FURY over Donald Trump’s controversial state visit was last night growing as MPs demanded it be axed to save taxpayers’ cash.
Theresa May’s decision to roll out the red carpet for a leader who many believe to be racist, divisive, misogynist and xenophobic sparked derision.
More than 50 MPs backed a Commons motion to stop his June 3-5 visit, which will coincide with events to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
Labour’s Stephen Doughty said: “This man is a racist, sexist extremist who was happy to promote far-right content from Britain First.”
Colleague Emily Thornberry added: “Theresa May has no business wasting taxpayers’ money on all the pomp, ceremony and policing costs.”
The president will attend a D-Day event in Portsmouth, sparking a political row.
City council Lib Dem leader Gerald VernonJackson said: “For us the centre of the events was meant to be the veterans.” Tory Donna Jones accused her rival of “child-like politics”.
