Star Kate splits from toyboy love
KATE Beckinsale has reportedly split from her toyboy lover – who has gone back to live with his mum.
The 45-year-old British actress has called time on her relationship with American stand-up comic Pete Davidson, who is 20 years her junior.
According to US reports, it was not the age gap that mattered but the 25-year-old’s “public lifestyle”.
A source said: “Even though Kate has been in Hollywood for a long time, she struggled with the attention on her relationship with Pete.
“He lives his life with his heart on his sleeve.”
The pair first got together at a Golden Globe awards after-party in January.
Kate and David, who stars in US sketch show Saturday Night Live, told the world with a snogging display at an ice hockey game in New York in March.
Later that month, Kate said the media scrutiny the pair received would only be a problem if she “liked the person less”. She told the Los Angeles Times she had “never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief ” before. Last week Davidson revealed he had moved back in with his mum after they bought a £1million pad in New York. Before their relationship, David had a whirlwind engagement with singer Ariana Grande, 25, last year. He caused outrage when he joked about the Manchester bombing to show how famous Ariana was. He said: “Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.” The couple split up in October. Beckinsale, the daughter of late Porridge star Richard Beckinsale, was with actor Michael Sheen for eight years and had a daughter, before marrying director Len Wiseman. They divorced in 2017 after 11 years. Representatives for Beckinsale and Davidson were contacted for comment.
