THEY were planning a home birth but it seems Harry and Meghan ended up at the Portland Hospital – the ultimate place for a special delivery.

It is beloved of A-listers, with Victoria Beckham giving birth to two of her four children there and Jamie Oliver’s wife, Jools, opting to have her babies there too.

dining for starters. A five-star hotelstand­ard kitchen provides around the clock service, with a team of 13 preparing any dish desired.

One cook boasted: “We can get foie gras, lobsters and oysters if people want. We have fantastic champagne, Dom Perignon if people want it.”

The food is all delivered on silver platters and the hospital boasts suites with sitting rooms and fridges full of bubbly. You can pick which doctor

you want and if you don’t fancy pushing, you can opt for a caesarean. And almost half of all mums there opt for a c-section, with one consultant known for “doing a good scar”.

There is certainly no shortage of midwives at the hospital either, with a team of about 50 on hand.
