Stunning views.. but may need some maintenance
Inside one of the homes NESTLED in beautiful woodland, this block of 10 flats could be yours – for just a quid…
The empty homes, which need “some cosmetic work” on their interiors, are going under the hammer with the ridiculously low starting price after being put up for sale by a housing association.
Auctioneer Marc Morrish said he believes they are the cheapest on the market. He added: “The price of the block of flats is £1.
“I will invite offers of a pound to begin the auction and if no one else bids, the flats will be sold for this amount. If there are no other bids, you will be able to buy it for £1. The housing association want to ensure that the block is sold, hence the £1 guide price.
“I can’t comment on what
I think the property will eventually sell for, but the starting price is a pound as the lot has to have a monetary value put on it.”
The block, which has been vandalised in the past but is now secure, is at Pantygog, in South Wales.
It is being sold as 10 one-bedroom vacant units at a Cardiff auction on May 21. Marc, of agents Seel and Co, said they could be rented out at £250 a month or sold for an estimated £30,000 each. Neighbouring houses in the village, which is near Bridgend, are currently on the market for £90,000. Marc added: “There are no real comparisons in the area to guide the selling price of each unit, the closest I’ve sold is in Blaengarw.
“These were one-bedroom flats within a converted terrace house that sold for £45,000 each.”
If no one else bids, you will be able to buy if for £1
