Help our brand go Beyonce next level

-

Dear Biz

We are siblings who have set up Jaded London, a fashion brand inspired by global street style, launched in 2013. We offer womenswear, menswear and swimwear and have managed to get stock in some big names stores including Topshop, Urban Outfitters and ASOS as well as selling via our own site jadedldn.com. We’ve also been really lucky too – and celebrities such as Beyonce have worn our designs.

We now want to take our business to the next level and launch further collections such as shoes and accessories. We are looking for investments to help us do this. Any ideas on where we might go for this? Jade and Grant Goulden, by email

With your already proven track record and success story you should have no problem getting investors interested in helping you to grow.

You have various routes you can take from your existing bank to one of the challengers looking to take on growing businesses. Or you could try peer to peer lenders such as Fundingcircle.com, where real people choose to invest in smaller firms rather than giving the big banks their cash in return for a rubbish interest rate. Also try angelinvestmentnetwork.co.uk, which puts firms like yours in touch with people and companies who have cash they want to invest.

Just ensure you thoroughly check out any firms or people you may decide to work with – and know what they want in return for their investments (typically a share in your company) and that you are happy to give that away.
