No cuddles for estranged dad Thomas
Meghan shared this picture in 2016 MEGHAN Markle knew the photo of her asleep her dad’s chest at a few months old epitomised the strong bond between her and her father.
They were not only united in love, but also through their “signature Markle nose”.
Today, the closeness they shared has gone, and many now believe the estranged Thomas Markle may never meet his grandson Archie.
Three years ago on Father’s Day Meghan posted the pic on her now-deleted Instagram account, gushing over her love for her dad. “Happy Father’s Day, daddy,” she wrote. “I’m still your buckaroo, and to this day your hugs are the very best in the whole wide world.
“Thanks for my work ethic, my love of Busby Berkeley films and club sandwiches, for teaching me the importance of handwritten thank you notes, and for giving me that signature Markle nose. I love you xo — Bean.”
Now although the nose may still be there, the hugs have long since disappeared.
For as Prince Harry and Meghan proudly showed Archie to the world yesterday, her dad was 5,500 miles away across the Atlantic. And while the Sussexes revealed their newborn in a choreographed appearance, 74-year-old Thomas Markle got the same first glimpse as millions of others.
But unlike them, he would have studied the pictures in more detail, perhaps hoping the new prince would have the “signature Markle nose”. While the Windsors and
Mr Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland Markle may not cuddled the new baby at meet the baby Frogmore Cottage, the provider of Meghan’s best hugs “in the whole wide world” is kept at arm’s length.
They fell out after he colluded with the paparazzi and gave interviews before revealing Meghan’s letter asking him to stop “victimising me in the media so we can repair our relationship”.
