ONE MORE MIRACLE

Klopp: It’s been a crazy week.. but we’re not done yet

- BY DAVID MADDOCK

JURGEN KLOPP has urged Liverpool players and fans to believe in one more miracle.

Fresh from the greatest night in Anfield history, the Liverpool manager insisted his side are not done yet. “It was a week of miracles,” said Klopp, referring to the 4-0 defeat of Barcelona that earned Liverpool a place in the Champions League final. “And if there could be another over the weekend, that

would be nice.” Liverpool need to beat Wolves at Anfield tomorrow and hope Manchester City drop points at Brighton to win the Premier League title. “The week is not over yet,” Klopp said. “Sunday still counts so we still go for it.” And pointing out that his side have defied massive odds already this week, the German said nobody at Anfield has given up on the title yet.

“I don’t need more hope or belief than I have already,” said Klopp, whose team could reach 97 points yet still end up runners-up. “I don’t need any other sign that things like this are possible because we know they are.

“We don’t have to hope, we only have to play the game. It is about the knowledge that a game is not finished until the last whistle.” City are red-hot favourites at 1-10 with bookmakers to retain the title they won so easily last term but Klopp went on: “It’s completely normal that people think they will win it but strange things can happen.

‘‘Brighton can score and then everyone has to deal with the situation.”

Mo Salah has been given a clean bill of health after missing Tuesday’s Barcelona epic with concussion, and Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson should both be fit. Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino are out, but Firmino will be fit for the Champions League final against Spurs on June 1.
